In my book Magicians of the Gods I examine the paradigm-shifting evidence for a cosmic impact 12,800 years ago, followed by further cataclysmic impacts 11,600 years ago. The argument, strongly supported by a number of leading astronomers and astrophysicists, is that both these groups of impacts originated from the same source — a fragmented giant comet that entered our inner solar system around 20,000 years ago on an earth-crossing orbit. Like other comets (e.g. Shoemaker Levy 9) it broke up into multiple fragments, some very large some much smaller. Several of these fragments  were responsible for the first cataclysm of 12,800 years ago, and several more were responsible for the second cataclysm 11,600 years ago.

The astronomers whose work I review in Magicians of the Gods, are convinced that multiple large and deadly fragments of the same original giant comet are STILL circulating in the Taurid meteor stream, the path of which the Earth crosses twice a year (June/July and Oct/Nov), and pose a clear and present danger to the future of human civilization and perhaps even to all life on our planet. There is no need for gloom and doom. This is a problem that we already have the technology to solve. NASA is in denial, or deliberately concealing what it knows, but the hints keep coming that we are heading for something big. See here for example: http://www.space.com/34070-earth-vulnerable-to-major-asteroid-strike.html. And here: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/science/earth-could-be-at-risk-of-meteor-impacts-and-we-might-wrongly-have-assumed-we-are-in-a-safe-era-a6702501.html. And again here: http://www.space.com/33576-asteroid-defense.html

Then there is this observation of a recently observed increase of the rate of cratering on the Moon. The moon is 384,000 kms distant from us, but the Taurid meteor stream is 30 million kilometers wide. What happens on the moon is therefore an indicator of what can happen here unless we act responsibly, and with foresight, to do something about it: http://www.space.com/34372-new-moon-craters-appearing-faster-than-thought.html

Fortunately some are thinking of doing something about it.  I’m not sure we need a “space nation” when we haven’t even scratched the surface of the huge and heartbreaking problems caused by mindless jingoistic nationalism here on Earth, but their ideas about doing something about potential cosmic impacts definitely resonate: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/2016/10/12/scientists-propose-space-nation-named-asgardia-and-cosmic-shield/

Graham, if you had to make a guess and settle on one of these three causes, comet/asteroid impact, solar flare with corona mass ejection, or vulcanic/seismic catastrophe, which one do you think likely caused the set-back which wiped out the advanced civilization whose traces you and others are documenting?

  2. Adam says:

Manu – Have you read Magicians of the Gods yet? It makes an extremely compelling case for the two comet incidents cited above. I do not wish to speak for Graham, but I imagine he is leaning towards comet strikes as the culprit of a global cataclysm.

. . . The Taurid meteor stream is certainly an irritant as much as a celestial show in October / November. It’s the June / July lot that’s even more a bother for those of us not privy to taxpayer dollar supported satellite observations of this stream of space rocks.

Daylight marauders into the atmosphere can be sizeable. There was a mention of that extinction level event strike wreaking havoc some 65 million years ago, or so, occurring in June. I don’t recall exactly where I read that paper – It’s probably findable online somewhere – I’ll look later. I often wonder whether that June strike was during the daylight or even possibly from the now called Taurid meteor stream. It seems to me that with recurrent strikes from a presumably same comet meteor stream batch that that meteor batch has lost some weight over the eons. It could be that NASA has reason to down play similar things related to it. That’s NOT an approval from me regarding their continued secrecy in such matters of space exploration. If anything, it’s a good motivator to shift this exploration stuff into a higher funded gear.

Setting up shop or housing, so to speak, on the Moon seems best done on the hemisphere least susceptible to meteor strikes. I would think so anyway. Orbiting platforms are probably a first step toward other planets even the Moon and Mars, but I think inhabiting spheres away from falling rocks will take some doing. I must admit I’m a little ‘ant-zee’ about getting off or away from falling mountains, comet chunks, and what not. It would be advantageous to be highly mobile from planets and moons, wait out of the way in nearby orbiting fashion and return to what can be salvaged.

As a species veering toward surviving another calamity or two or three there seems a need for an ability to survive and operate (ATSO) after attack or strikes. The military once used ATSO guidance as a means of training toward surviving military confrontations. It’s actually a useful outline for other catastrophe’s like those making news lately.

Thanks for the additional reading sources.

Richard – the Taurid meteor stream consists of the remnants of a huge comet that passed through the inner solar system 25,000-30,000 years ago. As such, it is not connected to the Cretaceous (K-T) impact object. However, it is highly, highly, highly likely that both the Taurid and K-T objects originated from the Oort Cloud. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oort_cloud

Space weather matters. In fact, literally, it matters more than anything else. Nothing else of human/earth origin can impart anywhere near the same degree of violent, catastrophic change as a bollide impact. Graham rightly champions the cause that addressing space weather (and consciousness!) will make/break us as a species.

These could also be explained by the soon to be discovered “Planet 9” that they announced that they think they will be able to locate within the next 18 months. In fact, after reading about it, it seems like this missing planet could account for our clockwork global upheavals, and the presence of global markers like pyramids and the ancient obsession with the stars. ‘Planet Nine’ Can’t Hide Much Longer, Scientists Say

  5. John Collins says:

Graham – Has consideration been given to the idea that the intruder was a planet that passed extremely close to Earth but did not actually impact it? There would not be any impact location but the combined effects of gravitational and electromagnetic attractions would wreek havoc on the Earth. Using the diagram of the nano-diamonds distribution, the water of the Atlantic Ocean would be lifted skyward and dropped on North America, and all oceans would destroy their shoreline civilizations. If the attractions were strong enough, the two planets could be torqued in their celestrial motions ending up with today’s arrangements. Earth with its creatures and plants would be a disaster area.

Is the pathway of this crossing of galaxies represented as the cross? Or even more accurately the Caduceus? The Nommo spoke of how the galaxies spiral which reminds me of the movement of the snakes up/down the staff. I have read many articles/ had some insight on how there is another galaxy (which would explain the binary code) which has an elongated orbit, representing the verticle part of the cross/caduceus. Am I on to something? Please could you tell us more about Vulcan also and is Vulcan responsible for the elongated orbit and therefore the clashing of the galaxies?

    Thank you, nice read.

Near earth objects are rarely reported in the mainstream media, unless their trajectory is firmly established. In the early nineties I had a frightening experience related to this fact. Then I was still a contributor to a variety of alternate news sites and conspiracy forums, and met a few people with an inside line, government and military. One night an announcement was made that all the world’s fleets, both commercial and navy had been ordered to deep water. This was confirmed by some who worked in shipping, and one member who was an active member in the American navy. Other sources quoted heavy weather warnings, but Every fleet worldwide was involved. It was terrifying, being on the west coast of North America, a mere 60 feet above sea level and knowing a major impact could occur. It turned out to be a near miss, but the mainstream media reported nothing.
