We are pleased to welcome Darren Le Baron to our new Featured Video series. This new series is dedicated to open inquiry and intellectual curiosity, showcasing independently produced videos by guest contributors whose work challenges established narratives and explores alternative perspectives on history, consciousness, psychedelics, and the nature of reality.
Darren Le Baron is an internationally recognised educator in ethnomycology and psychedelic studies, based between the UK and the Caribbean. He has a background spanning the creative arts, organic horticulture, and permaculture, and is passionate about sharing his research and findings on ethnomycology, ancient African plant medicines, and their various applications. He is the creator of Shroomshop, a mushroom cultivation initiative that engages and empowers local communities, schools, and businesses in hands-on learning. In 2021, Darren launched the UK’s first accredited Mycology and Mushroom Cultivation course for schools and young people, providing hands-on experience for schoolchildren and youth at risk.
Darren is a member and presenter at the London Psychedelic Society, a chair and Breaking Convention committee member, and has been sharing his extensive research on psychedelics and how they can help support humanity in the here and now all over the world.
In this video, Darren presents his compelling theory that we are, in essence, mushrooms having a human experience.
