About L. Ranzi

Born in a rural area in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul, in southern Brazil, Leosergio Ranzi graduated in Business Administration, developing his professional career in the fields of finance and auditing. His academic background and professional trajectory were not originally linked to physics or cosmology.
After retiring in 2016, he began to dedicate more time to activities of personal reflection and contact with natural environments. During this period, he undertook several journeys, such as the ascent to an altitude of 4,300 meters at Plaza de Mulas, on Mount Aconcagua, Argentina; the walk of over 800 kilometers between Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, France, and Santiago de Compostela, Spain; as well as trekking in remote regions of Patagonia, including Torres del Paine National Park in Chile and the El Chaltén region in Argentina.
In 2024, during a trip to the Brazilian Amazon, he participated in a traditional ritual involving the use of ayahuasca, an ancestral beverage used by various Amazonian cultures in spiritual contexts. During this experience, intensely structured visual perceptions occurred: fractal patterns, geometric multiplications, divergent tunnels, and sharp curvatures that organized themselves as an expanding network of light. The shapes branched out rapidly, as if each point contained the potential to generate new structures and paths.
These images sparked a strong intellectual curiosity. The attempt to understand and describe those patterns led the author to begin a period of reading on cosmology, theoretical physics, and the large-scale structure of the universe, also utilizing contemporary analytical tools, including artificial intelligence systems. In this process, the initial visual intuitions were quickly reinterpreted in conceptual terms, especially ideas related to structural connectivity, complex networks, and hyperbolic geometry.
From these reflections emerged the essay “Active Hyperbolic Voids (AHV): Relational Cosmology without a Dark Sector.” In it, he explores the hypothesis that the universe can be described as a fundamental dynamic of relational connectivity, in which space, time, matter, and gravity emerge as stabilized structural regimes of this fundamental network.
The model presented in the essay is proposed as an exploratory conceptual investigation. Its goal is to suggest a possible interpretive framework that can be subsequently mathematically formalized and confronted with observational evidence.
