Paint your self-portrait with your own colors and themes. Just remember THIS, you get what you pay for. Quality is much more than a mere picture to gaze at. Quality is every minute of the day, and how you use it. And, by the way, the clock stops ticking. Are you SURE you want to go THIS WAY? You know what way I talking about---the YOU in your fantasy life. That's right, your imagination of

Ray, thanks. I like the challenge, yet this fight is with someone who is a "trickster", from mythology. She never backs up to admit her own mistakes (when an if someone confronted her efficacy). She never backs down either. The sheer joy of being an ANNOYANCE seems to energize her. "The Celestine Prophecies" predicted that some people enjoy draining "the life essence"

Two things are eternally Real: Edicts that convey human ideologies; Edifices that cover the Earth for human habitation. Why am I bringing up this topic? Both trends edify and encapsulate our well being, as long as they can remain cogent and valued as institutions of human efficacy. The edict is as much a presence in this world as are the edifices we reside in. Edicts are everyw

That's right, Susan. On the one hand you despise any adult teaching that incurs and embraces mythology when children are the recipients of such teaching. Then, on the other hand, you espouse yourself to proselytizing Atheism to any and all adults!!! How can you be two-faced honestly?

Try as you might, Susan, you cannot "unbreed" the wild nature of some people. You are a well-trained, manicured human being. I don't have any idea about your personal interactions with some WILD folks here, and elsewhere.

Yve, I may have one of the most difficult assessments of my base-line understandings to deal with. I travelled for 20 years since birth. Now, I am a senior and have lived in the same area for 45 years. I just have not had any revelation of Ultimate purpose. And, because I am aging, I can't find the "glue" that holds my purpose together. My youth and my current state do not mix at all. F

Yes, "issues" indeed!!! I always remember the most effective idea of a book. Joseph Campbell's usage of the "masks of God" were those concepts I remember. We always remember the relevant ideas of a book, for personal use and memory. The very idea that we are "of God" is quite profound. Then the issue is, how much of God are we projecting outward to others? Good

Fortunately, my schizo abilities have given me insights (I emphasize the word "sights") that were, and are, relative to the religion of my upbringing. Today, I accept that WHATEVER PATH YOU TAKE as long as it is sincere and uncontaminated with "Excessive" use of psychedelics will be acceptable to enter the Wonderland of alternative reality. I prefer the Natural schizo method b

Susan, I have experience. It is over-rated, especially in my experience. I am schizo and don't need a stimulant to activate my disease. I do, however, need a prescribed medicine by a doctor. I will never repeat the "experimental" behavior of my youth. It is OVER-RATED, since I have a natural, inborn ability to have alternate realitys (what you and some others might call a DELUSION). Tha

Drew, I heartily agree. If I must admit the default position, then I will admit that I have little control of circumstances. The best work to do is self discipline, and THAT is a lifetime of daily, hourly and shorter segments of time, to be responsible. It really "goes against the grain" as I do continually apply discipline to an UNRULY person; myself. And so I relax until the pressu

Actually, that is the same opinion that I have as well. If there was a "Sane" person, then that would be the start of another "spiritual" idea, like all of the rest that have come before. I do, however, believe that "Love one another as I have loved you" by Jesus saying is as close as anyone has gotten to being a Sane person. You can't dispute a calling like that!!!

Actually, Drew, at one time only I almost missed a flight. I was outside the airport smoking my last cigarette before boarding the plane. As I returned to the boarding room, the lady was by herself and she insisted I hurry to get on the flight. I was the very last to board. Uh-oh!! I almost missed a flight!!! That taught me to be prompt, and not to itch for my last smoke before getting on boar

I have one more question to pose for today: Why are we so clinically "busy"? Is it the adventure? Is it the threshold of a thrill? Is it meaningless drugery that must be done? Is it being responsible? Is it exciting for the day to come to fruition, like a special day? What is the marker to obey the alarm clock in the first place? I can't assume that anyone enjoys

Alarm clocks are our reminder to get out and do things. The relevancy of the action has to do with the value of getting up and out the door. A pleasure trip to another location is quite the scheme to get up for. Work, not so much. But survival is neccessary, so getting out the door is mandatory. A pleasure cruise for fun is also worth getting out of the door on time to catch the boat. I've had

My personal alarm clock issues are many faceted: much of the time I get out of bed minutes after the alarm. That, of course depends upon the schedule for work. And sometimes I really lose place with my schedule, but, as yet, I have not been late so far. I prefer my days off, 8:30 to 9:30 I wake up naturally. There are only two days I have to work early: friday and saturday. Otherwise, my after

I will tell of an adventure NOT taken: A simple person with simple tastes in ideology will manufacture a seemingly safe path of contentment based upon the thought that New and Never-before-seen attributes are a hoax contrived to exhaust one's resources. Such a philosophy is fabricated to personally Protect that person from both joy and grief. Not originally conceived was this plan, since joy w

That's right!! Susan, your futile attempts to gain a Yes, or No answer is just as arbitrary as the responses you get to your original request. Every person here is LOADED with personal and also subjective answers. You will continue to get dissatisfaction from others here, because it is imperative for people to give reasons and examples of their chosen responses. No one can idle in a Yes/No sta

Ok, Susan!! I misunderstood your evaluation of parental caregiving, which is CLEARLY IMPLIED in the OP. WHAT ELSE could you have meant? Parents are the first and last caregivers of any child. So, I contended that parental INFLUENCE was implied within your OP of moral and ethical influences. That would be the PARENTS of such child!!!

Susan, right from the very start of this OP, you have not noted the bias of some adults concerning the welfare of children. No one should ever consider child-welfare as a neutral subject. No self respecting adult can EVER DISMISS the care and protection of a child, since every avenue of thought is geared for the betterment and wellbeing of any child. There are severe bias's toward children. Their

Drew, the sentiment is equal to our own vulnerability. An archtype is a "profession" of personality. That means that any list can be reenlisted by any counsel of rational thought. I do not subscribe to neatly formed adjectives that appear to make sense. Inasmuch as I know that I am a wild card, I will still apply myself to some means of direction, usually the ancient practice of self-co

Susan? Impartial? When you introduced the word "child", you made it very PARTIAL, indeed. It is because children are always being accused of "being under foot". Of course, that conveys a condescension from the adults!!
