Probably the one of the men in charge over the quarries wrote it on them to designate where they were meant to go! Then others at the site would read it and tell the laborers where to put it! Not much difference in the way modern construction is done! Not everyone at a modern construction site can read a blueprint or even tell what some of the sybols are that designate objects of importanc

Stephanie, Any idea about the interaction at the atomic level with this gas? Or is it perhaps found at the above site? It sounds like an oxidizer in overdrive. Breaking down at the atomic level into smaller pieces which are consumed by the lower temp flame. Or maybe the oxygen is just allowing the other gas to burn more efficiently providing more heat per volume that can be transferred to

Are there any "Killroy was here!" graffiti up there in those cracks! ;-) I remember when I was in construction people had a tendency to write their names or cute little quips on the studs and rafters when building the structure. After the insulation and the sheetrock was added, you couldn't see it anymore but if someone had to repair something then they might come across a name and dat

Interesting item if it is true. But slightly above boiling water temp is still hot enough to burn skin! Ever had boiling water contact your skin? Now if this gas can be proven true then it could help steer ideas about how things were cut and shaped in the past. Such as the odd angles in stone walls that mesh together quite well all the way down to the delicate carving of vases and other small or

So are you saying there is a good possibility that the shaft is continued past this plug, for it to be able to slide down into position? Also could you give any hint as to this question. What would m

C., I am not going into the Egyptologist field, nor going to try to be an expert in this field, but for some fun and enjoyment I find this thing quite amusing! I don't remember it being stated at the site that it was the top notch, no holds bar, envy of all egyptians(pharoahs incl.) panacea! It does state that it is doesn't use all glyphs, and it is more for a general understanding of h

Peter, A question or three here if you don't mind! If the pyramid was built from the bottom up and this plug is the end of the tunnel where no one would see it, then why would the polished limestone plug be used for here as it is the last stone for this shaft? What would make this a necessity for the particular type of limestone rather then the more commonly used limestone? Wouldn't the b

A question here, if you don't mind. If Hieroglyphs can be written three ways then would you mind clarifying for me how it is determined which way they are read? right to left---- left to right---- top to bottom? Are these the three ways? Are there any places where these layouts were mixed together? Such as left to right and right to left? TIA, Lobo-hotei lobo

Hera stated on another post that the deletion of post could throw off the registering of hits to the wrong threads. I only hope it won't be long before it is corrected! For I am not far from going crazy with 5 daughters and the extra seearching of every thread here is getting me that much closer to the edge! ;-) LOL Sincerely, Lobo-hotei lobo

To Joanne C and Robert, I see that both of you might have made mistakes in the way both of you reacted to these post! I do not believe that either of you did so intentionally or maliciously! Why then don't both of you let it drop and return to the article in question? The subject isn't something I am too familiar with but do understand it, and would very much like to hear the mature debate betwe

Thanks for the link! The kids will enjoy knowing when the eclipses are coming! I noticed one in November of 2012 and looks to be close to South America! Would this have been considered an omen to the SA natives? A precorsor to the end of the 5th sun age? Also a funny coincidence add 40 days & nights to it and what date do you get? lol! I am sure people will have fun with that "dir

Thanks for the posts! I had seen similar information in a book that,at the time could not afford to buy, but had disappeared later when I could ! As far as the last paragraph goes, an unidentified amphibious human sized creature that makes footprints similar to humans, hmmm? Does this mean there were ape-like creatures that were comfortable in the water as well as land? Seems like an aquati

The following is from the Tao: Thirty spokes join together in the hub. It is because of what is not there that the cart is useful. Clay is formed into a vessel. It is because of its emptiness that the vessel is useful. Cut doors and windows to make a room. It is because of its emptiness that the room is useful. Therefore, what is present is used for profit. But it is in absence that there is us

Something about these surveys, or polls, always irratates & also stirs up laughter. This is that we are supposed to judge the whole world or the location of the polls( state, country, etc.) by the few that actually were asked. Hell, i can do at least the same, or worse, in the town where I lived most of my life and yet I am also sure that I can do better than those figures above in this coll

Hey Morph, Good one there, have you noticed that A+D=333 which when doubled gives you 666? Also if you take the a cube and number the sides 1-6like a die, then you would have three pairs of digits equalling 7 hence7-7-7, the supposed perfect number. I never understood the reason for this exact placement of the digits, makes me wonder. Also if you take a cube and place the number 6 on each side

Hi Pete, The similarity I meant was that the metal "handles" came through the stone and were made as not to pull loose from the chest. In the metal protrusions of the "Gatenbrink's" do appear to line up horizontally and the lengths of both pieces have enough length to allow some curvature if they had originally been connected. I can't say that they were but you can't say th

Hi Ananda, In a way the symbol does remind me of Earth but the flat base on it still puzzles me. It looks like a globe you would find in Geography class. Also, or nothing, both birds are holding it by the top half and the talons only go down to the center line. Don't really know either. The alabaster chest just reminded me of the "door" as in such a way that the handles go all the wa

Great pictures! On the first link, in the 'Tutankhauman' page there are two pictures, #6&7, the human-headed bird and the "Udjat"( eye of Horus). In the pictures both the human-headed bird and the vulture has similar symbols in their talons could someone please enlighten me to the knowledge of what this symbol is? Also Pic.#9, the alabaster chest, there are simicircular metal handle

Hi Pete, Thanks for the reply. The sled I was referring to was the actual one found not pictograph, and the question about lubricant was mainly for confirmation of fact about such lubricant. If the lubricant was found in the wood fiber and identified then that would be more solid fact for the ramp theory(small but definite) and also would the bottom of sled show wear marks whether they used lu
