I’m slowly making my way through HP Lovecraft’s short stories, after learning what an influence he was/is on so many visual story-tellers. My first exposure to how ubiquitous his fans and writers/film-makers was a YouTube video about how difficult it is to translate cosmic horror to the screen. I would partially agree with your characterization, but I think you’re forgetting about the technology nerds who were drawn to the ideas central to blockchain, the decentralized ledger that records the provenance of a digital asset. There’s nothing inherently wrong or right about blockchain, or for ASICs (application specific integrated circuits) for that matter. It’s all about how you use
