Hi Deep, Well - 2 months ago I bought a high-end 'out of the box ready system' from Packard Bell running Vista. I don't know if it was just a bad install or what, but after just one day I gave up on it and switched to XP. Things were running slow and jerky ...and then some... (being a closet computer nerd I tried all my trix, but had to give up in the end.) Just like you, I have been running X

AHHH! Sweet :))) I loved those games, man! What a nice post - brings back rosy memories :))) When I was 10 I got the forerunner to ZX Spectrum, the ZX81 ...first thing I typed on it was: "Who is better, Ingi or Steini (my friend)" ...it cave an error message... I still remember how disappointed I was that this marvelous computer couldn't answer such a simple question :) ...this howe

Hi Andy, Many thanks for the info :) I've heard that the people, up there, are very-very friendly - that's a big plus! I myself am rather chatty by nature (when I get out of the house) so that's just super! ...and being Icelandic makes me extremely well versed in all kinds of weather condition conversations, he he! - Sounds like fun :-) - great to hear that I'm so central to all this 'history'

Hi there fellow GHMB'ers, In May I will be moving to the UK from the Netherlands (my wife just got offered a job at the University of Teesside in Middlesbrough). I was wondering if you have some tips regarding the surrounding area - in relation to 'our-field-of-interest' or just about anything from hiking paths to what is worth knowing when living in the UK :-) On Google Earth I see that ther

Yeah, it surprises me that anyone would go along with this. But unfortunately then there are people out there that fall for this unfortunately ...I even know 2 guys who went from Iceland to Amsterdam to meet up with two Nigerians, but they were into drugs (speed) - so you can't expect clear thinking on their behalf :) (the Nigerians didn't show up). My e-mail has been 'online' since 1999 so need

Hi! Great – I’ve been planning to do this for some time, but being Icelandic with a family tree way back it’s not gonna be such a surprise, I guess :) Anyway – you never know! My girfriend says, every time we see the natives of Mongolia on TV; "There you are!" So maybe there is a different gene in there somewhere :) Greetings, ingi

Hi CA, Good comic-work and really “in the now” as the comic style goes - and the story is a really nice idea. I've already sent the link to few of my dragon loving friends back home who definitely will dig in and follow your story. Wish you all the best with Ice Dragon ....if your Dragon ever feels the urge to visit the land of fire and ice, then I could give you links and

Thanks for the link, Amy. Nice to know that I got Mr. Supernatural right for you guys. Thorgal (Þórgal) It almost sounds Icelandic :) I do recognize the look of these comics – At the next Comic convention, here in the Netherlands, I will look for a copy. I like to check things out that other people point out to me – it often sends you in different directions than if you pi

Hi CA, I'll be surfing in as soon as it comes back online - the site won't open? You guys are more into the realism, I gather. Before I went pro I did do some work in that field, but the funnies own me - my goal has always been to make people laugh and being raised free of US-comics but literally drowned in the Belgium and France once, I guess my fate was sealed at an early age. The comic is s

Hi Raja :) ...well, you got one? At the moment I'm busy with refreshing after a rather heavy burn-out period of over a year and focusing on my illustration work so comics are still off-limit to me as a main income (since my burn-out had to do with them). I have however started to dabble with it again and now I’m searching for a new direction and new way of working in this beloved fie

Hi CA and ya-all, Great to see that the comic is alive and kicking here at GHMB, it makes me purr like my cats, hihi :) I've been busy with the comic-form for almost 9years now professionally, but my style is more the funny end of the comic spectrum, the European style. Lately I have been re-evaluating my carrier and have focused more on illustrative work, but I feel the forces of the sequenti

Hi! Just saw this trailer at quiktime.com; Evan Almighty It got me thinking how 'some' people are going to read into it, with regards to 2012 and so on :-) Check it out - it's the sequel to Jim Carry's; Bruce almighty. Greetz, ingi

Hi Sally, This will, most likely, always be the case with drugs, legal or not – do you promote them or not? My question is; who is ready? Thanks to drugs and alcohol I woke up to life (when looking back on it). I must say that after reading the book I was very interested – but due to my past I’m not going to tune in and drop out ...I could get lost :) I&#821

Hi-ho! Firefox is nice, but I'm hooked on the mouse-gestures that come with Opera – For example: hold down right button and move left for BACK - move right for FORWARD and down for NEW PAGE) and some times I use the "V" option in Opera to let it read long posts out loud here on GHMB (highlight text and push V). After getting used to those mouse-gestures, there is no way bac

Hi good Witch :) I agree with you, but I also know from were this message board is coming, having drop in here since 1999. It got a little wild here before the moderation and I think they are just trying to keep it from spiraling out of control. It’s of course hard to read into people’s written comments but from ones own feeling - but I guess that it was all done with best o

Hi Brian. I always begin my day with tea (loose leaf), but it’s a little bit more straight-forward, wouldn’t mind having it served this way some time. I remember watching the movie Muriel’s Wedding (Australian) some years back and noticing how much emphasis was put on the making of tea in one shot of the movie. The father of Muriel put a teabag in a mug, some water

Poor guy! I like that show, though I’m not at all into cars and think at times that the testosterone levels get rather high. That big ogre and the little hobbit are a funny team. Sure hope he makes it trough this.

Hi N. Great post – love your cats …and all that fur! :) They do look a lot like their Norwegian buddies, interesting. Maybe Leifur Eiríksson took few with him from Norway, when he ‘found’ Vínland, back in the day - who knows!? When we moved from Iceland to the Netherlands we took our two cats with, of course! Maxí & Moritz Both have/had Norwegian
