Laird: "Does this mean I have to learn to read Chinese?" That depends on which Chinese you mean. I don't think anyone has determined what language was actually used to write it. What I've noticed is that most people seem to think it is all one book. That's far from the case. My own work excludes everything but the Hexagrams themselves and assumes that the order is the most importan

Laird, You need to expand upon the link between China and India. I've thought for some time that the Book of Changes had a connection to India possibly going back 8,000 years or so based on internal evidence. Dale

Thank you, and yes I do believe as you do. There isn't an athlete at the pro level who accept Randi's stipulation. Discovery should be taking him to court for contract violations if did indeed promise on air to fork over money for proof. Best wishes, Dale

Sorry to be unclear. I've been down with a cold for the last three weeks or so and haven't been making much effort on anything. The point I was trying to make was that the assumption made by those who demand proof is that only those who claim to possess psi powers actually believe they have them, or worse, know they don't have them and are trying to con the masses to make money. My own experie

It seems to me that anyone who honestly sets out to explore psi abilities for them selves will experience some form of them unless they are so afraid that they block the ability. Dale

Hi William, I am conversant in Astrology enough to be able to cast a horoscope. The Hindu interest in the Jupiter-Saturn cycle comes from their religious teachings. I, therefore, conclude that it is old by our standards. In fact, our version of Astrology takes the cycle from Hindu Astrology. Whether or not there is a connection, I don't know. The cycle is usually approximated as 60 years.

The relevant cycle is the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction. About every sixty years the two planets will conjunct in the same sign ( as opposed to conjuncting in successive signs). They do this two or three times before moving on to another sign. Hindu Astrology makes a big deal of the cycle. Dale

I've actually written five posts so far. They are about the political process, but without getting into the 'my beliefs are better than yours'. What I'm trying to do is explore how the rest of us can bypass the political class, getting back citizens running the Country. Feel free to leave comments on the blog or using my email: drlerch@ear

I decided to go with the 9500, as I didn't like how the 210 under performed the 220 so severely. The $20 rebate brings the 9500 down to the cost of the 210. Your comments were a great help guys. Thanks Dale

The computer supports extented PCI 1.0a. I'm also looking into the EVGA 01G-P3-N959 GeForce 9500 (assuming I can actually read my writing). The higher front end cost is mitigated by $20 rebate that brings it down to that of the 210. Dale

I'm looking to replace a Geforce 8400 GS with the Geforce 210 ZOTEC ZT-20303-10 L from TigerDirect. Money is extremely tight and will be for the rest of the year. Is this a good choice, or are there better. Any thoughts? Dale

So why haven't you gotten an answer from the techies yet? By the way, what you need to know is the voltage and current from the laptop itself. The numbers on the charger only indicate the current that you can be sure of at the stated voltage. When you try to draw more current it tends to drop the voltage. If you draw too much current you can over heat the power supply and fry the electronics.

I think it does. But you can check it out for yourself since they're rerunning some of them this Tuesday. That way you can decide for yourself. If you're into the Stargate franchise Stargate Universe premieres Friday. Dale

Vegans are universally wrong. You need meat to supply B-12. Further Not all meat protein is the same. For me, beef is better at supplying the needs of my eyes than any other meat. Why? Don't know.

Can I suggest that the idea is too important a plot point be thrown away? Either make it integral to the plot (maybe as a motivation for antagonist?) or dump for this story. Maybe it'll fit in the next on. There will be a next one won't there? Dale

For the ins and outs of Vista try "Windows Vista Inside Out, Deluxe Edition". You can get it at Amazon.com. Note the page count: that's how you know you'll get more than an intro. Dale
