I would consider the monoliths as geographic markers of claim. Earth's natural resources may have been staked out. If they are markers, they have withstood everything thrown at them so far and still they stand. Perhaps the claims have mined out and the markers were never removed.

If I may throw in my 2 cents. Vinalhaven Maine Granite quarries 200 years ago, gallamander to move it, steel tools to cut carve, and shape. There is a picture in a historical society book up there that shows a poor immigrant in the middle of a field on the island banging away on a hunk of granite. I looked at Dunn's website briefly. I agree there are machine marks, especially round holes cut will special saws. The biggest turn off for me is when the introduction to ancient technology begins with Egyptians in the first sentence. I believe the first Egyptians were wandering hoodlums that happened onto the great monuments. After they got through vandalizing and limitless graffiti we are left

Great emphasis is given to the learning of the trade (speculative masonry) and keeping the secrets. Consider if Gobekli Tepe were a school to train skills to the level of masters that they may travel the globe building in s

I only mention granite's possible weight perhaps being like Styrofoam. What has the advancement of time been able to do to materials? Petrified wood turning to stone for example. I wasn't there when the walls were built so I have to consider what could have been

What trip are we on when we do the 26000 year one? Are we dipping below the swirl and then rising above it?

I find the 26000 year ride around our galaxy in our solar system interesting. It makes me believe thinking people have been around at least that long and likely several revolutions. What if, in the time megalithic structures were being made, rock used were as light and easy to carve as Styrofoam. It would be impracticable to cut square blocks and stack them as the natural elements would easily mo
