Thanks...I believe the big lifts have a lot to do with neuromuscular efficiency. I put on a big squat while at a heavier weight, and when I dropped weight, I retained a lot of that strength. Also, genetics do play a role. For example, I don't see myself benching monster weights. Anyway, cool pics by the way! I really need to visit Egypt.

Nice lift poundages there! I'm not so much obsessed with sporting a six pack as I am with pound for pound strength (I wrestle and kickbox), but I understand how rewarding it can be to perfect one's aesthetics. My current weight is 150 pounds (down from 188). I'm 5'8". At this weight my maxes are 450 dead, 396 squat and 125 military press. (I don't bench currently). But I think I will start

This country knows nothing about tolerance or democracy. It is a big charade, and people here THINK they're so open and tolerant - it makes them feel warm and comfy inside. But as soon as something deviant comes up, where is all the "tolerance" in this country gone? It's always been a big show. Hopefully now more people will open their eyes.

OK, this trail is irrelevant to the main topic of this particular post but I honestly think the topic being discussed here is a real one.

Yes, but over a longer period of time than the Nazis killed Jews. The oppression continues to this day! Why do you think the Dalai Lama is in exile? The Indian government allowed him into India. Why haven't we heard of it? Well, the Tibetans are definitely trying to educate people about their situation. Actually, the movie "Kundun" is about this situation. If you can, go and rent it -

The Chinese did the exact same things you describe, save the dying of eyes and hair usage. I live in the Netherlands, I know what the Nazis did inside out, because that's all we got to hear about during History lessons. The Chinese forced Tibetan boys to copulate with their mothers, monks with nuns, then slit their throats. The Chinese toyed with their victims before killing them. Must I go on?

Do you know the HTML code to embed links into posts? I don't yet. So for now I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to do a Google search using the search term "tibetan massacre" or "china + tibet". Don't confuse it with the Chinese killing their own citizens, which they are also good at. I'm talking about the killing of Tibetans, whose territory China invaded. The links in

OK, point taken. Sorry for such a hasty post on my part. But don't get so worked out about him, you should just ignore him. Despite there being real people at the receiving ends of Internet posts, people don't treat the Internet medium as a real life interaction. People say stuff they wouldn't have the guts to in a face to face situation. There are keyboard warriors everywhere. Just ignore them.

Regarding VanderZwet's and Sicilian' posts...you guys are arguing through each other. VanderZwet is saying that comparing what the Israelis are doing now to the Holocaust is absurd. Sicilian is saying that Jew suffering is overhyped in the media (and I totally agree, we never even hear about the Tibetans who were massacred by the Chinese - more than all the Jews in WW2). Anyway, so what's the dea

Indeed! Couldn't agree more. I almost threw up when I read that "why can't we all just get along" quote. Give me a break.

Uh, Gautam Buddha (Siddhartha) was an Indian prince. He definitely existed, there is solid proof of that. He never claimed to be a god, people made him one. Out of that entire list, Buddha is the only one you can definitely prove existed.

Left, right, center, it actually doesn't matter. Europe remains one big, miserable, pathetic land mass with the coldest, stupidest, most irritating and violent people on the planet. They tell me to go home? Gladly! I cannot wait to get my degree and get the hell out of here.

Dear Graham, First of all, I want to offer my sincere apologies for making that comment about selling books. I was not thinking straight when I wrote that, and I'm sorry about it. Thanks for taking the time to reply in such length to my post. I indeed had no idea about the Horizon Scandal before watching the documentary today. And yes, it was definitely called Atlantis Reborn. The word "re

OK, I read the Horizon Scandal material briefly. I still need to go through most of it, but I get the gist. I now do feel my post was out of line, and I'm sorry. I honestly didn't know that the Horizon Scandal section was related to the documentary I watched today. I had never bothered looking at that section. My bad, 100%. And indeed, without knowing about that Horizon Scandal deal, the BBC di

I just watched "Horizon: Atlantis Reborn" on BBC World. It revolved around Hancock's work and also presented views of experts who do not believe in what Hancock says. I had invited some friends over to convince them of Hancock's work. I have watched some of Hancock's programs before and was very much put under a spell. Today, however, that spell was fortunately broken. I've put on more

Yes, I see where you're coming from in this case. The fact that the Smithsonian itself has recorded these finds and now remains completely silent about them is definite reason for suspicion. I agree with everything you've said. Do you have any ideas/methods on how to continue digging into this issue? I'd be interested in helping you out - if you need any help that is.

There are so many such stories and conspiracy theories and what not. But the fact remains that nobody ever supplies solid evidence. If there are so many stories about it, I'm sure some solid evidence would have leaked out by now if we are to believe what people tell us. Especially that second link you posted, the story there is basically right out of an X-files episode. I'm surprised they didn't

Yes, it's quite interesting how some people favor the underdog while others will always go with what is mainstream at the time. I'm definitely like you in this respect, I will almost always support the underdog, even if I know that the underdog is not correct in a given situation. Pretty strange isn't it?

This is an awesome thread. I haven't read Chariots of the Gods, but from the sound of it, it isn't exactly solid. It's just funny to see how everyone still respects the author and acknowledges his impact on the mainstream, and doesn't really care whether or not his work is solid. We humans are a nostalgic bunch really.

Which ancient cultures are you refering to? I take it you're saying that the numbers 666 and 36 are important numbers in more than one ancient culture. (I hope I haven't misunderstood you.)
