Global Warming is not like the other "end of the world" ideas you've depicted in your Venn diagram. Global warming temperature has been measured, CO2 has been measured, and the recent increase in CO2 almost exactly explains the increase in the increase of temperature, most recently confirmed and explained by Muller in his BEST study:
The research studies specifically devoted to these measurements has been carried out by NASA and other world agencies using satellite technology--responding to UN IPCC mandates. Based on these policy determinations, the United Nations has convened a series of world meetings to implement policy based upon these measurements. Although the resulting Kyoto Accord (1997) was not ratified by key countries, and the more recent Copenhagen summit extension (2012) was even more discordant, important steps have already been taken by many countries to reduce CO2, and it has already had beneficial effects. Japan has implemented a long term national plan to combat global warming by controlling CO2, and my own state of California, very early on the scene, has implemented a statewide plan that has already produced discernable benefits (reduced smog) to the citizens of Los Angeles.
Scientists who have spent their entire carreers on these measurements have been outspoken in expressing their dissatisfaction with world progress on these issues, and the most outspoken have clearly expressed alarmist concerns--but these concerns are science based. Here is perhaps the most extreme NASA scientist describing his frustration in a very personal TED talk:
