MJT: I am not at all comfortable with the manner in which you dismiss Djedfre as Khufu’s immediate (?) successor – to me it borders on the cavalier;
SC: Perhaps. But a logical consideration of the evidence leads us to consider that as a possibility.
MJT:...and it has me feeling that you are perhaps avoiding facing head-on the fact that this possible relationship and Djedfre having his pyramid built at Abu Roash instead of Giza presents a problem for your and Gary’s hypothesis re ‘Preconceived Planning at Giza’.
SC: Not at all. If you actually read what Gary and I have written, we fully accept Khufu as the builder of the Great Pyramid. But rightly we point out some considerable anomalies in the chronology and the fact that Khufu's name is NOT in the King Lists. We present some possible scenarios to explain these anomalies.
