SC: Indeed - and the line of Giza suited this particular arrangement. You have to remember here - it is not just the arrangement of the pyramids that are associated with the Belt stars (i.e. their pattern closely resembling the Belt star asterism), but their very dimensions can also be shown to derive simply and easily from the Belt stars. There is also the matter of the twoi sets of Queens Payramids depicting the two culminations of the Belt stars. The point is - it is not just ONE thing that we have at Giza corresponding with the Belt stars but a wholse series of elements. Given the direction of the Belt stars in the design of the Gizamids, the plateau would have been ideal.
And there is a very good and important reason why they used the Belt stars but that will be covered in another thread.
