What are the chances of pyramid G2 - when centred on the centre Belt star (Al Nilam, with G1 and G3 as fulcrum), that its proportions would also fit extremely well into this scheme?
As stated in other posts, there is evidence at Giza that G2 was planned to have been sited much closer to its Belt star position on the plateau. It may be, however, that G2's proper position within the plan had to be compromised slightly due to the topography of the plateau i.e. in order that G2 could be sited around the large mound in this area of the plateau.
Of course, by deciding to relocate G2 slightly to fully embody the mound in the centre of the plateau (probably for practical, construction reasons), would mean that the inter-quarter points of G2 would no longer correspond with those from G1 thru G3. However, as shown above, by simply placing G2 on its planned Belt star position, we find that the geometric correspondence works extremely well.
