You obviously know nothing of my research. A rectangular base for G3, would only allow me more options not harm it in anyway.
Scott you diagram does not work. Plain and simple.
The angle needed to make your diagram work ( and I really shouldn't give it to you) is ... well although the yellow base line and the red line look parallel they are not. In order for the diagram to work we would need an angle of 1432 (approx distance of centers) and height of (220 - 201.46 ) or 18.5 The resulting angle is tan of 18.5 / 1432 = 0.74 degrees so the deflection angle would equal 90.74 degrees
Using Scott's "rectangle we would get 220 - 199.73 (longest side) = 20.17 giving us an angle of 20.17 / 1432 = 0.807 giving us an angle of 90.81.
Now Scott perhaps you will show us one last time how you manged to get the deflection angle of 90.81 ?
