How do you and Ed propose the ancients measured the speed of light? What proof (other than vague references to "light measures") can you present that substantiates this?
The Dogon priests say they learned their science as part of an instructed cosmology, given by knowledgeable ancestor/teachers. Their symbolic system is based on a ritual aligned structure that is a direct match for a Buddhist stupa. According to Adrian Snodgrass, who is a leading authority on Buddhist architecture and symbolism, the Buddhists say they got their version from a "non-human source." The tradition in Egypt is that they got their written language from ancestor/gods. The Maui in New Zealand have a similar system, which they credit to ancestor/gods. The Na-Khi in Tibet/China have a similar system and similar hieroglyphic mode of writing as the Egyptians, and credit ancestor/gods.
In other words, everyone's saying they learned it from someone who knew.
