You need to provide evidence Plato had any concern with such, Hercules is only mentioned in connection with the geographical pillars of such. For Plato the stars were living entities attatched by chains to the outer circle of the Universal Sphere, no star/constellation would be considered concerned with any other such inner circle, as these were taken up by the sun, moon etc.
There isn't anything to suggest he was aware of stellar positions thousands of years earlier, or that he even thought this possible.
However, if, as you agree, Atlantis is allegorical why should you be so convinced that your interpretation of any associated allegory is correct? Look at other possibilities and do not discount anything.
It's not my interpretation, it's Platos, his wrotings were very much self contained in that he established always the precepts for the discourse and analysed the relevant criteria involved before arriving at his conclusion, all aspects of what he was concerned with are therefore to be found within the treatise.
Regarding your behaviour here I stand by what I state, you insulted people...you may disagree with them,...I happen to agree in most but not all cases with Kazanas, Kak, Frawley and others who follow a specific line of thinking that is logical and makes sense. I have extended some of their ideas and in fact reinforced my material with external evidence. Witzel I disagree with as do the people I mention but neither I nor they would sink low enough to insult Witzel in the manner that you did to those I cite and in fact me.
Your behaviour was insulting and not fit for a place of debate and discussion. You can disagree without insults...I disagree with you completely on a number of matters but I do not call you names as you did to the outstanding scholars mentioned above who you termed Hindu fundamentalists... That was a totally unnecessary and childish statement. I do not term your writings ramblings as you did to mine even though I disagree with much you state. You make positive statements which ought to be queries where you doubt others and when exasperated turn to insults...It is abundantly clear that you need to temper your wording and think before you type...It is possible, as the overriding majority of posts on this and other such boards on the web very clearly demonstrate, to have a disagreement without resorting to outlandish childish insults which is precisely what you resorted to. Stay calm and think before typing please. You detract from your own standing with such unbecoming behaviour.
Again, i quoted a Harvard Proffesor of Vedic studies who disagreed in a lively way with the source you'd cited...i think it's him that you should have issues with.
