turnofthetide,

Nevertheless, scores of prophecies said the Jews would be scattered to the four coners of the world and be persecuted and hated everywhere they went (Wandering Jew). That happened in 70AD. And dozens of other prophecies said that in the "last days" Yaweh would regather the Jews for the last time, and that this would be for a sign to the nations that we are in the last "throw of the dice."

Are the Jews back in Palestine? Is world peace contingent upon what happens in that neck of the woods?

In the Apocalypse, John said that an army of 200 million from the east would slaughter one third of the population of the world in their march westward to a place called "The Valley of Megiddo" which just happens to be in Northern Israel.

A few years ago the Chinese boasted that they had a standing army of 200 million. Yet when John wrote this almost 2,000 years ago, I doubt there were 200 million people in the entire world.

It is not a matter of people who take the Bible literally causing these things to happen. You are putting the cart before the horse. In Dublin in the mid 1,800's, a group of Christians who were into prophecy, repeatedly said the Jews would return to Israel. They were laughed to scorn. One of those men was Gratten Guinness, a member of the famous stout family.

The evil forces that rule the world know these prophecies and consistently try to prevent them being fulfilled. That's why the Holocaust happened. Because if the powers that be could wipe out the Jews for good, then they couldn't return to Palastine, then the Word is broken.

This is why the Nephilim fell to earth in the first place. Genesis 3;15 was the first promise of the Messiah which was to come and crush the head of the serpent. Ever since then the serpent has endeavoured to kill off the blood-line of the Messiah in order to prevent that prophecy being fulfilled and thus averting his demise.

Thus the original Nephilim came to wipe out all mankind. And they almost suceeded , except for Noah and his family. Yaweh always seems to be two steps ahead in this eternal chess game.

Patrick.
