I get what you are saying about prayer, I like Paulo Coehlo's quote that if you really want something the universe conspires to help you get it. But do we always know what is best for us? Something we do not want may prove to be a blessing in disguise. And sometimes what we want proves to be our downfall. For example some people end up rich and their child dies from drugs: if they were lucky they would have never gotten rich in the first place.
