Sorry CJ but in my case I need a "Lanza for dummies" crash course because I don't understand that. If life creates the Universe (as Lanza says) and we accept that life is born / exists inside a Universe, then how is the Universe created in the first place? Unless the claim is that life existed before the Big Bang. But supposedly there was nothing before the Big Bang. Yet how can something be created out of nothing? Anyway you look at it, you hit a brick wall...
The correct answer to the question about what was before the 'big bang' is, 'We don't know.' We humans will never know, however much they speculate and, possibly, get closer and closer to the most likely situation. The always wrong answer is to supply a God-did-it type alternative.
I am a 1+1=2 person and it really bugs me that I can not understand this.
