Hi cj,

Okay, thanks for your response and for clarifying your credentials. Myself, I only have a lowly BSc in Biochemistry and Biotechnology. I did spend most of my working career working as a research technician at a major University though. The Theory of Evolution rather than Darwinism, (you seem to be using Darwin as a pejorative. Why don't we stick to the theory of Evolution) is a pillar of biological science because it has stood up to every experimental test it has faced. Sure there are parts we don't fully understand like punctuated equilibrium but there are parts of Relativity we don't fully understand as well.

I would disagree that Evolution through genetic diversity is not to be questioned. That is a fallacy. It has been thoroughly and rigorously questioned since it was first proposed over 150 years ago. It's just that it stands up beautifully as an explanation as to how life progressed even more so as we have come to understand the mechanisms of how genes work and how mutation changes organism over time due to environmental pressures. We now have the technology to study morphology and link it directly to changes in DNA through mutation. It is what I did for years studying your friendly neighborhood bean, pea and lentil plants.

I think that Angelis properly pointed out the flaw in this argument. Each individual cell does not need it's own separate "knitting pattern" whatever that is to connect it in 3-D. Cells differentiate into tissues based on signals from other cells starting at the cleavage and Blastocyst stage. Here, I'll post a brief refresher on how cells differentiate into tissues:

[open.oregonstate.education].

I won't go into too much more detail but I will post a link to a refresher on how cells differentiate. I don't know how you came up with the arbitrary number of 10 to the power of 50 but that just seems like a number you threw out to impress with the "wow factor."

In reality, these cell don't have to express everything all the other cells in the body do they just need to express what they need to to form tissues and function.

The theory of evolution does not make a statement like life was an accident as I tried to state before. It makes predictions about how life changes over time. Also as I stated before, we carry a lot of DNA a that we don't know what it does. Likely these are remnants of DNA from the time we were nematodes. We likely don't use it because it's redundant. The number of genes we have tells us nothing about what those genes code for or the complexity of gene systems that have evolved over time.

But I'll bite. Dummy it down for me and explain what other "factors" besides DNA determine anatomy and morphology as I would find in your book?

Well, I'm pretty perceptive. Dummy it down and give me the Coles Notes version. How is the theory of Evolution related to quantum theory and the rise of civilization?

...the Coles Notes version. And I do have a background in science so I can probably follow the gist of it.

What kind of waves? Quantum waves? How are they self-similar? What does that mean. If I am reading you correctly you seem to by trying to take the probabilistic properties of the quantum strangeness we see on the very small scales we see in atoms and particles and extrapolate that into the very large scale of the Universe as a whole and then make statements about how that relates to civilization and species.

It is probably true that atoms in large structures exhibit the same probabilistic patterns that we see on the micro scale but isn't true that in a large object like a star or galaxy with trillions and trillions or atoms that those field densities would average out and we would not be able to notice quantum effects? You don't see buses blink in and out of existence nor do you see planets in different places at the same time.

At any rate, isn't true that no one has been able to show or prove quantum effects in the macro world of large scales like suns and galaxies?
