Well, for Afghans right now it is anything but.
And most people would not like to see their own lives as jokes. We are much more important than that, aren't we?
Well, I have picked up that the Hindus have a concept called Maya.
From the Free dictionary:
(Hinduism) the Hindu goddess (Maya) of illusion, the personification of the idea that the material world is illusory.
The Hindus had this idea long before any quantum theory.
As for Jesus, he said that Satan was a liar from the beginning.
Where did all those wise ones get their knowledge from?
Has my life been a joke? You bet it has! But I have gone along with it, made the best out of it all, despaired sometimes, then laughed a lot.
I had a friend, an old woman, lying in hospital with asthma, and then she caught streptococcal infection. I spoke to her on the phone and she said, oh Gerda, I think I have had it.
Another friend who had managed to visit her in hospital (I had too, earlier) told me that just before she died, a nurse was sad and our sick friend tried to cheer her up with a joke. Great way to go! She loved jokes.
I think that is what is wrong with the world; too many take themselves too seriously. They want power, and when they get it, they use it to make others miserable.
Fancy enjoying making others miserable.
I would rather make others happy and laugh. I try to anyway.
