The News-feed has been including many articles over these many many months about psychotropic substances - taken in moderation - possibly being an all purpose booster for folk with difficulties in areas of their lives. Yes, folk are accompanied by knowledgeable and aware guides who can steer the resulting experience toward greener pastures, and the one undertaking the experience gets to deal with the conscious and subconscious expressions being induced into the mind via the ingested substance.
Can you imagine your greatest fear being portrayed as a little mouse trying to hide in a big house? You'd want to pat it and make a hole in a skirting board so it can stay safe...and that greatest fear would never bother you again. As I wrote to Dick before, I liked his last paragraph of that post...
"And what a paradox! All that anxiety and fear, and yet the vast majority of experiences were entertaining, playful and beautiful in the extreme. Why would our mind have such fear and anxiety over such experiences at those? The answer to those kind of questions proved telling."
It seems Dick went by himself in all his adventure...and it took time to be comfortable with his own mind-full-of-tricks...if he was falling off a cliff, did water appear below and did he pull off a twisting somersault before landing with ease? I hope he tells us ;)
