I just read Anna's excellent work. I found it very steadily balanced, and thought provoking. It made me think anyway. When I went to stay in Germany I knew about 2 phrases, yet picked up the language easily. I had no need to, was not trying to, it just went in, all by itself. I also read Drew and PB's comments. I get that. Drew discussing how opening the book and the rest just flowed. PB asking if our thoughts are as private as we think. I always say I pick up things by osmosis more than any other way. The source seems pretty irrelevant as I am not actively searching. So if by lifting the fuzzy old veil of everyday Life do we glide to that level where it gets logged and is as it REALLY is ?. Like wiping away the mist on glass and really seeing the view, not what we remembered it ought to look like ?. When we have worries and get used to the habit of running on what we THINK things are like for us, and triggers use that as the default connection, especially if it has been reinforced by discussions with 'therapists' and friends, is this the reset area ? Back to factory settings...:) ?.
We now have the knowledge that we have seen ourselves, not the image of ourselves. Instead of a half to half interaction with someone else you get the true one to one with yourself by doing nothing, letting it unfold.
Many people commit suicide because they have given up trying recover. What for ? To fit back into the world that made you ill in the first place ? If they now know it was fighting with an illusory world, losing control as the body can't work well with illusion only reality, could they rebalance faster ? Even better if they felt the work being done on them, for them. Maybe hard to handle if they can see where the 'bad' stuff is from too, hence the need for being cared for during it.
I really hope all the research gets this out there.People are suffering.
Stay well, Dick.
