Hi Mo,
During the initial stages of my research I was absolutely open-minded because I genuinely did not know what I was experiencing, but I was very determined to find out. As the hallucinatory aspects began to diminish, I was far better able to appreciate those very powerful non-physical beings that are behind these interactions and from whose constitution the illusory scenery (be it clowns, elves, aliens, dragons, landscapes, morphing geometries etc.) derives. Your question put me in mind of a book that I am presently reading: Thunderbolts of the Gods - a radical reinterpretation of human history and the evolution of the solar system. I have heard accounts from other DMT explorers who have experienced detailed historical scenes such as medieval European life, and even pre-historical scenes relating to formation of the solar system, earth and life thereon. I have considered such scenes derive from the mind of the entity that is interacting with the DMT user. I don't discount that humanity has the psychic imprint you refer to, but I don't consider my interactions with non-physical entities are flashbacks to that imprint. Great question, by the way.
