If so, the change occurs as we have acquired much greater scientific footing.
It will be interesting to see how the coming change manifests. Perhaps, to your point, the level we reached has sufficiently liberated the Western individual, enabling them to have more time to engage in fun and generally right-brained activities.
I see that as a long term outcome when it comes to artificial intelligence: we will be able to pull off the macro transition to AI imo. What will be challening is the existential crises such massive change might cause. People will need to have stuff to do to engage their minds if they don't work. We'll figure it out, but it will take time to adjust and then prosper under the new AI world.
