I find that reassuring, Ray.
I went through some sciences in university, but don't feel in a position to challenge those who made a career of science and say that evolution is entirely random.
I think this is because I generally assume good faith. They speak with such authority, that one would think this matter had been settled at some well-known academic conference.
In recent years my disposition has changed, owing to the accumulation of deceits that I have seen coming from the same general sources over the years.
Now I like to put such people in a position of being able to defend certain views, which some regard as being as sacrosanct as the Ten Commandments, as we have with the professed relationship between evolution and complete randomness.
So, if the 800k timeline is reasonable, let us have these priests show the Unfaithful why it fits.
