The subject of God has come up on my threads, so I thought it would be good to share a reading from my book "I, Universe", in which I attempt to come up with a more modernised creation myth than the one given in the Bible.
Do we need myths? Yes, because we are shooting in the dark in our understanding of reality, by virtue of being a creature with limited consciousness. Science only ever provides partial answers. Abstract thinking is required to get a handle on what the big picture may be, but that thinking must not contravene what we've already learned from science. In this regard, the old myths are showing their age.
