Thank you for your response. It seemed to me very much as if you are claiming that the world will make better progress and move forward more successfully if peoples returned to, or perhaps re-adopted a pre-modern/industrial way of life. Apart from the fact that this is completely impractical, who is going to choose not to have access to Information via modern communication, medical care, etc etc, it is in my opinion a fantastic idea, something to imagine - and we humans are experts at and have had millions of years of experience of imagining anything!, but to suggest - or,it seemed to me, claim - that this is in any way feasible needs practical ideas which stand a chance of working whilst maintaining the advantages of modern life.Quote
Hi Susan ~! I can give it a try - to answer your questions and comments. The first one is, "That's quite a claim!" Unfortunately it is not clear to me what you are referring to. Can you clarify it please? Thank you. From my various posts what am I claiming?
The post to which I responded said:

For approximately 2000 years (some say 5000), we have ALL been colonized, and decolonization seeks to understand ourselves as we existed before modern civilization,
How would you propose implementing whatever these proposedholistic solutions are? Why do you think they are more important than the current solutions we have for feeding most people?Quote
and that implementing holistic solutions and traditional earth-connected ways of life are vital to the survival of the human race.
How many people would choose to be 're-centred' do you think?! Would you? What would you have to do to be re-centred? Would you personally choose to give up all, or even some of, the amenities you have now?Quote
Decolonization is more of a process than a goal; the process varies from group to group; and it can re-center indigenous or earth-emergent worldviews in our movements for social transformation
However, just imagine that it would be possible to collect in all the money in the world and share it out equally amongst all. Within days, there would be those who have spent it all, those who take a middle way, and thosewho have doubled or trebled theirs!Quote
