His condition steadily worsened Ray. Despite that he not only kept writing but helped me as I wrote a much more detailed second edition of my book.

Very determined, to get better and write. Then only to write. As things moved along I tried to keep him focused on getting his writing done, as that was all he had.

As I got to know Lew better the more it became clear how very close he was to his dad. Lew passed just a couple of months or so after he did, weeks or so after he finished his final book.

Lew was foremost a mystic, I would say. Earlier in life he had his own NDE, and later a very convincing past life episode. I told him a few weeks before he passed that it was time to see his old man and he laughed and gave me the thumbs up.
