as we are discussing the similarities between different megalithic
sites, I read recently (on the News Desk here I think) about a carving found on one of the
Stonehenge megaliths, very faint but nevertheless a feature carved into the surface of one
of the stones.
Now to me this is comparable to the Gobekli Tepe site where the standing stones
were buried thus protecting their carved surfaces, if the Stonehenge megaliths
were decorated the carvings would have been subject to weathering
& vandalism throughout the ages.
Do you think that the Stonehenge stones would have been originally decorated
as at Gobekli Tepe, but the images have been lost in time due to the factors
