However, take away the speculations, the myths, the legends, the statistics, etc., and what is left?
Actually, nothing of any real substance.
One thing in particular has always bothered me about Ancient Astronauts - how they managed to not leave a trace of the infrastructure needed to support and maintain their technologies.
The South American Ancient Aircraft are a typical example.
One only has to visit a modern airfield/airport to see the problem here.
I started out as a devout supporter of the theories of Erich von Daniken (beginning with his 'Chariots of the Gods - Was God and Astronaut? in the late Sixties).
I built up an impressive library of material on Ancient Astronauts by a variety of authors/researchers, and then worked my way through it all a 'case' at a time.
My conclusion (albeit, I admit, somewhat amateur in nature) the Ancient Astronauts theories are a complete nonsense.
Don't take my word for it folks.
Study the 'evidence' closely and in depth for yourself - do not leave anything out, be it for or against.
For example, take a closer look at the Dorchester Bell, the Salzburg Cube, the Delhi Iron Pillar, the Mesopotamian (?) perfect lens, the Baghdad Battery, the aluminium belt from China, and so on and so on.
The Truth is out there, but not it's nothing to do with Ancient Astronauts! :)
So few answers - and not one of them mine.
