Scientists objectively state that they study phenomena representing only 4% of the universe's actual composition: Visible physical matter.
It is therefore logical that a transmission mechanism might exist in the other 96% (of what we know is present based on gravitational effects). But those majority constituents cannot be detected by our instruments. This vast 'blind spot' thereby renders orthodox studies likely incapable of providing mechanistic answers to questions about the collective unconscious, which could occur via invisible (to us) "dark energy" and "dark matter".
I carefully read the Sydney Morning Herald news story 3 times. And IMO, it seems equally possible that the chemical changes it described are a consequence -- rather than a cause. Might such changes reflect collective unconscious transmissions, even among insect groups?
This is a huge metaphysical topic that is challenging to cover in a succinct message board posting. It is discussed in my writings but required many chapters in Volumes I and II to do justice to the subject.
