Nobody is obliged to read anything that they don't consider as suitable reading material.
Since time began there has always been someone around trying to stop others doing something that they themselves don't approve of. History is littered with frightened 'little' people destroying somebody elses civilisation or burning their sacred books. The Spanish Inquisition murdered thousands of people to stop them from thinking for themselves. Does it not seem to be true that the more 'religious' populations of the world are those who are steeped in fear and ignorance? Keep the peasants ignorant and you'll have no problems. Let them learn to read and you'll have them thinking for themselves.... and that must never be!
Without books and the thoughts of the great philosophers, the world would be a very sorry place. The fears and hangups that some people may have about the written word should be kept to themselves and not forced upon the rest of us. We were each given a brain and ability to use it. We don't need to be told what to think.
