We all know about the Napoleonic Use of the merovingian Bees , and the fact that NApoleon was interested in Egypt. He also use the bees on his heraldic symbols.

Does anyone know anything special about bees (cicadas) or their meaning in egypt? Or in our modern times?

I know at least one from the Theban mapping project web site, the jewels of a 19th dynasty queen. Tausert

Those "bees" do look exactly the same as the merovingians ones, but they are much older, maybe 1500 year older.
