Since our Civil War, our Government has set itself on a course to try to unite the American people--probably the high point of unity happened at the end of WW2 through the 50's--which were very optimistic times.
For the last 20 years, our Republicans felt that the only way to stay in power was to use "wedge politics" to divide us socially--and no longer attempted to bring us together. It's been remarkably effective!
It's never worked for me. I've always tried to keep people together and in communication.
This pandemic is giving us an opportunity to think--and see the need to work together.
A time to reset.
That's what I'm doing.
