In the post from randomHactor, I see an episode of VICE in which nobody questions the science of climate change but simply assume it without considering all the reasons for the permafrost melting. The scientist in this video shows projections and then elaborates on the one with the highest change in temperature without mentioning the likelihood of this particular scenario. I don't think this is very good science. It looks like the episode is geared toward promoting climate change fear.

In the post from Eddie Larry, while your credentials sound impressive, I disagree with you regarding 'following the money'. I think this is a good way to look at how the world works since there is so much corruption based on paying people to do or say what other people want. In other words: "It is difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends upon his not understanding it" - Upton Sinclair.

That said, I have no disagreement with you regarding renewable energy and do think this is a growing industry that most definitely needs to replace our current dependence on fossil fuels. Don't believe anyone would take issue with this. What I don't see once again is any legitimate proof that climate change is anything more than a catch-all for anything we don't understand about glacial calving, permafrost melt and temperature changes. It is like calling something in the sky a UFO and assuming it must be an alien spaceship without further detailed investigation. Kind of misses the boat for me.
