You realise of course that sitchin has now moved on from sumeria and babylon and is now "having a pop at the ancient greeks". I'm sure everyone's seen Troy by now starring brad pitt and eric bana, and that elf from lord of the rings heh heh (didn't you notice how he only became an affective soldier when he was using his bow). But according to stitchin it didn't happen quite like that cos they missed out the spaceships.
"It was only thus, I explained, that all the texts and depictions from antiquity showing men and gods can be explained and understood. The visit to Troy and its tale was affirmation of the actual presence of those whom the Sumerians called Anunnaki: “Those who from Heaven to Earth came.”
The visit to Troy, described in the first chapter of my new book, was thus my Trojan Horse for that logical conclusion."
Bet you're not so convinced sitchin has a valid point now. Wait for his next book which will claim that the ancient gods of egypt are from betelgeuse.
And thor and odin are from sirius. etc etc
From the fall of troy we get the phrase"beware of greeks bearing gifts"
from sitchins version I get "watch out this guy's a nutter"
If I really need to prove my point i'll do cuneiform 101 for you all so that you can see how the language evolved slowly over 4000 years.
But I hope it isn't Necesary
