You are confusing technology with the mind that is using it. There is no evidence that I know of to think that the human mind is changing (evolving) any faster than any other ability of any other living thing on the planet. We simply reached a certain 'critical mass' in technological knowledge a few centuries ago and have been building up technical know-how at a very fast clip. But that doesn't mean our actual mind is different (either better or worse) than it was thousands of years ago. Ancient people could have understood our modern society and even technology as well as we do if they had been born at this time. Look at the antikythera device, a very complex machine -- though ambitious beyond the technical knowledge of the time -- that shows ancient people could understand machinery. They just didn't have the specific knowledge that we have to actually make them.
