I said previously that the Yaqui Indians told the Spaniards that many thousands of valiant warriors called Jodys or Judys (Spanish spelling Yoris and Yuris) once passed through their nation on their way north. As further proof that these Judys were the same Jutes who overran Europe, I want to point out they say a great saint once arrived among them from a faraway country, saving them from a devastating flood. His name was Yaitowi or Yaitovi (Yadava?) This Yaitovi was none other than Yadu, which sound like Jatoo in Sanskrit, the descendant of Japhet or Jepeti, a son of Noah. The Yaquis say that this word "Judy" means "Those Who Came Before." Our Utes of Utah are also Jutes.

As I mentioned in a prior posting, the Yaquis will not usually call us North Americans "gringos." They call us Judys (Those Who Came Before). Gene D. Matlock
