I believe human beings are the result of God's Plan to create life which knows nothing and can grow from this state of ignorance into a God seeking, God knowing, God worshipping entity.
God created this incredible universe with intricate laws of nature/physics/chemistry/etc. with the intent of creating us, beings of free will. To do this he developed the Plan and put it into action.
The concept of Original Sin:
The things we read are all tainted with 2 powerful things:
1: The perception of the Reader (you) When we all read something, we all create our own interpretation of what is written. And not all of our interpretations will be the same. Our reading is tainted by our current knowledge, our existing concept of reality. (an example: You cannot understand step 6 until know steps 1-5)
2: The perception of the writer (her or his intent/purpose behind the writings). While I know writing can be God inspired, I still believe when someone writes, they are limited by their own perception of reality. They cannot write about what they do not know.
The Bible has powerful wisdom in it, but I do not believe it is pure. Humans have written it and altered it throughout time.
The concept of Original Sin was created for the purpose of having Jesus die for our sins on the cross and therefore be the way to redemption. I do believe our path to the Father in Heaven lies through Jesus Christ, however I do not believe this is because He died for our sins. I believe He is the Son of God and came to us as a man to show us the living way to live life. He did this by living His life and leading by example. Jesus ascended to heaven where he oversees our world. We will spiritually encounter Jesus before we find our Father.
