There are plenty of examples of homosexuality in nature. Regarding social conditioning, I'm not sure it homosexuality as its impossible to prove. Homosexuals come from all kinds of backgrounds, from broken homes to happy family units, from rural idilic areas to urban cities. I agree with you though that it's absurd that they are condemned to hell!
