>>I rather see it as a "holy prostitute" :) stage--- too many clients/ demands put on the Mother Earth and no time to recuperate, therefore polluted waters, diminishing natural resources etc<<
You make a good point.
>>But some say that She will find Her way to shake us up and force us to find a solution.<<
Sort of a weaning process? Doesn't that presage the "terrible twos?" :) Actually, in the spirit of allegory, how many mature women do you know dog-tired from babysitting and running unceasing errands for her grown children. That is, in addition to trying to keep her own head above water. I know and have been a sympathetic ear to several -- I'm not optimistic She won't have to resort to the "hag" stage where Her over-indulged children are concerned either.
I was intrigued by this:
>>But I also think that the Mother Feminine or the Receptive is something even more than our planet. It could be the "dark matter" pervading the universe, or Ether that is inseminated by the Spirit/ the masculine.<<
and this (as well as Jaq's response):
>>As to the female version of the warrior who is killed and re-born, I don't personally think we will find one. It is the male/active principle that alternates between the manifested and un-manifested. The feminine/receptive is constant.<<
Other than the more obvious connotation, is there another way to conceptualize the male/active principal being manifested IN the feminine/receptive?
