Interesting statement you made regarding "The Lord of the Rings". I've been thinking the same thing ever since I started reading the books again and watching the movies. I know Tolkien was heavily into ancient history and the Bible. He understood a lot of mysteries, ancient symbolism, etc. Call it a "gut feeling" or intuition, but Tolkien knew what he was writing and he wrote with purpose. That is why we become so excited with his stories, because maybe they are about us and our real ancient ancestors.... because now we have purpose and understanding of who we are and where we are going. That our history goes further back than we've ever imagined.

I also like to apply Sir Isaac Newton's philosophy and his take on "Occams Razor", that the simplest explanation is most likely to be true. The evidence is there before our eyes...all we need to do is open them.

The search for evidence begins with a "hunch" and a "what if".

There are words, names, languages, andplace names that all bear the evidence, and that myths and legends have their roots in real history. Hmmm, maybe all this is not "just fantasy" as some would regard.

I will continue to watch with open eyes.
