Yes, I understand where you coming from. But most of the religions of the world can be traced all the way back to one source. Dr. Joseph Campbell did extensive research on this. It doesn't surprise me at all that there so many variations of the same story, because mankind branched off into different directions and told the stories in their own languages and symbolism.

Did you know that the Brahmans of India are descended from Abraham, hence where they got their name? This is why they consider themselves to be "special."
