Hello Kees,
I don't wish to steel Rob's thunder either, but I have been researching this for many years now. I am one of those Christians who has had to rethink ancient history and what I was taught when I was growing up.
It's amazing, but right in the Bible itself lie many hidden clues to this mystery. This idea has actually been around for a few hundred years, but hasn't had much publicity and the last hundred years. I am now convinced that the Giza Complex, Great Pyramid, and Sphinx, Pyramid Texts, Book of the Dead, among many other mythological stories are a symbolic precursor to Jesus birth, and second coming in incarnate flesh to earth.
As Sphinx pointed out, Jesus IS God in the flesh, so it stands to reason that He WAS there from the beginning. However, not all Christians are taught this. But I want to relate the Bible to ancient history as well.
When Jesus stood before the Pharisees, Saducees, and the Sanhedrin, Caiaphas asked Jesus who he was. He said "are you the Son of God"? Jesus answered and said "I AM."
The same thing God said to Moses on Mt Sinai. "Tell them I AM has sent you."
When Caiaphas heard this, he rent in robe in two.
Here are some of the things Jesus states in the New Testament, and other Bible passages from which contain clues to this mysterious past.
Revelation 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
Mat thew 21:42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?
Psalms 118:22 The stone [which] the builders refused is become the head [stone] of the corner.
Acts 4:11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
Isaiah 19:19-20
"In that day shall there be an altar to the LORD in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to the LORD. And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the LORD because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them. "
The Great Pyramid is missing it's capstone. Was it rejected? The Great Pyramid also incorporates the "Messianic Triangle", among other very important symbolic clues in which Professor Piazzi Smyth discovered in the mid 1800s.
Clive Ross who visits this site from time to time has done extensive study into the relationship of the Planets and the Great Pyramid and has established that the GP is also a Giant Astronomical Timepiece. Why? Were the ancients waiting for something? The "magi" mentioned in the Gospels are said to have foreknowledge of Jesus birth. Where did they get this knowledge from? And why were they so concerned about the astronomical events of the time.
And even Adam was given this forenowledge of the "coming seed."
Josephus mentions that is was Adam and Seth who may have built the Pyramids. Their names bear remarkable resemblence to Atum and Set in Egyptian History.
Here we have references to "the foundation of the world" in the KJV Bible.
Mattew 13:35 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.
Mat thew 25:34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
Luk 11:50 That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation;
John 17:24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
Ephsians 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Hebrews 4:3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
Hbrews 9:26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
1Peter 1:18-20 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, [as] silver and gold, from your vain conversation [received] by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
Revelation 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
Rev 17:8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
In the book of Job
Job 38:31-32
Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?
Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons?
We know that the Mazzaroth is the Hebrew name for the 12 signs of the Zodiac.
The Hebrew Zodiac begins with the "Woman" or "Virgin" and ends with the "Lion".
There has been much discussion regarding whether the Great Sphinx' head was recarved. Could it have been the head of a woman originally? Therefore...the head of a woman and the hind of the lion. A perfect representation of the Zodiac. Jesus, of course, was born of a woman and rose from the dead to rise as the "Great Lion of Judah". The ancient story "The Lion King" is a good example of how the ancients passed down this information from generation to generation. So the Zodiac pretty much tells the story of Jesus. Each sign also being a representation of him. Remember Jesus said, "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end."
The Pyramid complex was designed to look like "Heaven's Mirror" as Graham Hancock suggested. Were the "ancients" trying to represent "heaven on earth"? And if so, why?
Jesus is also represented as the "Phoenix" which dies and rises from the ashes. The "Ben Ben Stone", also.
The Four Gospels of the New Testatment are represented by the Man, the Eagle, the Ox, and the Lion as forseen in Ezekiels Vision. Each Gospel is a different representation of Jesus. That why each Gospel book is different.
Man=He came to us in the flesh as a man.
Eagle=He carries us on eagles wings
Ox=He carries our burdens
Lion=He is the resurrected Lion King of Judah
In Egypt, we have the Four Sons of Horus represented by the Human (Man), Falcon (Eagle), Baboon, and the Jackal, although these are not exactly the same as the Bible depictions, there is a remarkable similarity.

There is much more, but this is already getting too lengthy.
