Hi Briffits
I had a Lebanese friend when I was a kid whoes Dad's family owned a Lebanese pastry shop in London (best things I have ever tasted!). Her Mother was blond but more interestingly they had a young man who worked behind the counter who was the fairest person I have ever seen. All the Brits who used to come into the the shop thought he was English but he did not understand a word they said. It caused all sorts of confusion.
Apparently according to my friend a lot of her family were as fair as this young man.
Warm regards
Susie
