We were on the side of the Lancasters, Henry basically....Umm, our ancestor, Sir Hugh de Peshale or Persall, was part of Henry's personal bodyguard and one of the three men that were knighted by Henry on Bosworth field after they killed Richard III. The fall of King Richard has been attributed to these three men and it is memoralized in a poem about the battle.

So yes, lancastrian and worse yet, my ancestor had a hand in killing Richard III...Hope that you don't despise me forevermore now LOL.
Our family was actually divided. My direct ancestor was on the Lancaster's side. Another branch was on the York side if that makes it any better. :)
