Thanks for your reply. You asked quite a few questions so I hope you don't mind if I quote your post in parts...
> Firstly I do not think that knowledge is something to be
> frightened of so why is it that the Serpent is considered
> evil by Christianity?
Knowledge is inanimate, neutral and therefore can't be evil per se. But what's done with knowldege can result in either good or evil.
The Serpent is considered evil by Christianity because the NT states that the Serpent is Satan.
"The great dragon was hurled down--that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him." - Revelation 12:9
"Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?" - Genesis 3:1
"There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death." - Proverbs 14:12
In other words, many are deceived because the deceit is subtle or cleverly hidden.

That is the general gist of it. There are many books that outline in great detail how our democratic process has been hijacked by a hidden agenda, books like The Rulers of Evil by Tupper Saussy, Rule by Secrecy by Jim Marrs and Vatican Assassins by Eric Phelps

I have read David Icke's books. He's quite extreme but I do agree that the result of a NWO, if it were allowed to become a reality, would be more sinister than I outlined in my original post. I just didn't want to scare monger!

It wasn't too deep at all and again I agree with you.

The reason is this... originally they were meant to guide mankind and to be our servants, showing us the way back to God. However, they rebelled. Because these beings were much older than God's new creation, ie, us, these Beings felt insulted that they should be servants to the new kids on the block, so out of pride they rebelled and ever since they have been trying to prevent us from returning back to God.

I haven't read it... do you have a short summary?
