Hi Magdalen,
I agree that knowledge is not evil and that what is evil is the misuse of knowledge and I also agree that there may well be some individuals in the higher echelons of these secret societies who do not like the misuse of knowldge for power lust and this is why I refrain from judging individuals.
However, there is the old adage that by their works they shall be known. I'm not judging but I am critical of the way secret socieites are being used to support, maintain and further political power, which is really getting out of control now.
I've been monitoring Masonic forums for some time and in the past year, I've noticed that there is a lot of unrest in the lower ranks of Freemasonry. Many are leaving the Craft because they feel that their Masonic Officers, in the higher Orders, are only serving themselves. Those that are remaining in the Craft are complaining that the structure of Freemasonry "is more concerned for the senior members and officers" and that the Craft is glorifying them. This doesn't bode well for the Order...
You have my spiritual support and prayers too Magdalen,
sincerely,
Rob
